4 Podcast Round-Up: Immune Boosting & Anti-Viral
I love podcasts just as much as you do! So here's what I've been listening to during my stay-at-home time this week. This is my best curated list of herbalists', nutritionists', and practitioners' insights as to how to keep your system in the best shape to maintain your health and some really nice information about the behavior of COVID-19 at a cellular level (skip to Guido Masé's webinar for this specifically).
- North American Herbalist extraordinaire Paul Bergner, the Director of North American Institute of Medical Herbalism speaks specifically to COVID-19 and how to support immunity, first from using whole foods to build up the foundation of your immune system. This man is an encyclopedia of knowledge, genial and approachable in his advice and grounded in 30+ years of practicing and teaching herbal medicine and nutrition. I highly recommend this interview!

- Guido Masé is chief herbalist at Urban Moonshine, clinician at the Burlington Herb Clinic, a senior faculty member and clinical supervisor at the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism, teacher in herbal medicine at the University of Vermont, and author of The Wild Medicine Solution and DIY Bitters. This man is technical, precise, and I always love listening to him speak. He brings his wealth of knowledge to speak to COVID-19. This is a free webinar, but you do need to sign up with an email address to listen to it. You won't regret it, this man is so good at what he does. (it's not a light listen. Guido shines because of his technical prowess, you've been warned :P)
- Dawn Jarvis, nutritionist and dietician at Garden of Life: A clear and concise overview from a nutritional point of view ways to ensure that you are keeping you immune system strong and things to do to keep yourself at optimum functioning. This episode, and all of her episodes are short and easily digestible.

- Karolyn Gazella, publisher of the Natural Medicine Journal, a peer reviewed online journal for integrative health care professionals. She interviews immunologist and integrative health expert Heather Zwickey, PhD, who shares excellent information in this podcast on COVID-19 and natural medicines. While there is no natural product research published specifically on COVID-19 yet, there is much underway. Info dense and done in a way that invites the listener to learn more about virus behavior, infectious disease, and ways to protect themselves in clear and actionable ways.
