In 2021, Perfect Supplements made a cash donation to protect 6000 acres of rainforest in Peru. This donation represents our fourth year as  Corporate Sponsors of Rainforest Trust, an organization dedicated to "protecting the most threatened tropical forests." 

Why Rainforests in South America?

Perfect Supplements chooses to support rainforest protection in South America because our most popular products, Perfect Collagen and Perfect Desiccated Liver are sourced from countries in South America, so this is our way of giving back to that continent.

San Pedro de Chonta and Monte Azul de Yanajanca Regional Conservation Areas

According to www.RainforestTrust.org, these two "Regional Conservation Areas... will safeguard 625,006 acres in urgent need of protection from deforestation. In turn, this project will lock up 103,965,164 metric tons of CO2 equivalents – commensurate to the annual emissions of 22.6 million cars."

"We must act quickly, because the nearby Huallaga River Valley and Monzon Valley are among the most heavily deforested zones in the Peruvian Tropical Andes and the destruction will soon spread without formal protection."

I "Heart" Rainforests

I love protecting rainforests because they are unique environments on our precious planet, home to thousands of unique plants, birds, and animals. In addition, many of the forests in South America are home to indigenous people and “shelter priceless archaeological sites.”

Perfect Supplements was founded over twelve years ago with a mission to protect people and the planet. We believe that protecting rainforests are an important part of that mission. We are happy to add these 6000 protected acres in Peru to the 2450 acres of rainforest in South America that we protected in 2018 - 2020.
