In June of 2020 we launched the Perfectly Pure Certification. Any product that shows the Perfectly Pure Certification seal has done the following – Independent 3rd Party Lab Testing On Each Batch of Finished Product, Publicly Displayed For All to See.

Let’s take a product like our Perfect Hydrolyzed Collagen. While it has just one ingredient, there are still a number of stages involved in getting this product made. Let’s take a look…
Level 1 Testing: Raw Material tested internally by Ingredient Supplier
Our ingredient supplier in Brazil starts the process by hydrolyzing collagen from grass-fed cows. The collagen is tested by our supplier and we receive a lab assay stating, among other things, that the collagen has passed Microbial testing.
Microbial testing checks for things like harmful microorganisms such as E.coli, Salmonella, yeast and mold.
Level 2 Testing: Our Contract Manufacturer Does the Bottling and Testing
The next step is for our contract manufacturer in the USA to take the collagen and put it into bottles. Of course our contract manufacturer follows all GMP – Good Manufacturing Procedures.
Once the Collagen is bottled, the contract manufacturer will do random, spot-check Microbial testing in house. This is to make sure no contaminants enter the product during the bottling phase.
Level 3 Testing: We Receive The Perfect Hydrolyzed Collagen…and Have It Tested Again
You know how some people are belt and suspender people? Well, when it comes to product safety we are belt, suspender, Velcro, tape and elastic people :)
The Level 1 and Level 2 testing are great, but they are done internally by companies who have a financial interest in the results. We are relying on the Ingredient Supplier and Contract Manufacturer to self police and share negative results if there are any problems.
To make certain the Perfect Hydrolyzed Collagen is…well, Perfect…we send a finished bottle of each Lot out to an independent 3rd party lab to be tested for Microbials. The actual test results, direct from the independent 3rd party lab, are publicly displayed on our site.
Perfectly Pure Certification For Perfect Peace of Mind
Could we just trust the first two microbial tests were accurate? Probably.
Is it a FDA requirement to do the additional layer of Independent 3 rd Party Lab Testing? Nope.
The thing is, we are not looking to do the minimum required by law, you have put your trust in us and we want to show we are leaving no stone unturned to make sure your supplements are safe, effective and pure.
